A superb 19th Century commemorative jug. Titled “The Royal Patriotic “jug with battle scenes from the battle Sebastopol 1855 made by S. Alcock & Co Burslem This is a superb quality jug with serpent handle. Hand decorated with deep orange painted handle & rim and heavily gilded. The black & white transfers under glaze are of superior quality. There are no cracks or chip. Slight discolouration to the pottery in limited areas otherwise excellent
