Birmingham, G. A. – From Dublin to Chicago Doran, New York, 1914, green cloth in excellent bright condition with two interesting newspaper cuttings, one from February 1914, the Daily Sketch with the title ‘Has Ireland Lost her Sense of Humour?’ and a full page spread on Birmingham’s play (which caused some riotous scenes in Westport). The author was better known as Canon Hannay the Church of Ireland Rector of the same town. The book is not very politically correct and there is a very interesting chapter entitled ‘Memphis & The Negro’
